Kiev – Batumi Business Forum, organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara A.R. was hold at Fairmont Grand Hotel Kiev, on 12th December. The forum was opened by the Ambassador of Georgia in Ukraine Mr. Mikheil Ukleba, who was followed by the Minister Davit Baladze. In his speech, the Minister emphasized the importance of bilateral economic relations between two countries and reminded the audience of great history of Georgia-Ukrainian friendship and collaboration in sectors of trade, agriculture, tourism etc. Participants of the business forum were addressed also by the Chairman of Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadyi Chizhikov who expressed his readiness to promote Ukrainian investments in Ajara region and support the development of business relation between two sides. Georgian delegation, comprised by representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara A.R., Batumi City Hall, Ajara Tourism Department and Batumi-based private companies, gave presentations about Ajara’s advantages in terms of business, tourism and construction regulations. Georgian companies displayed their promotion materials and participated in B2B meetings, which took place right after their presentations. They exchanged their business contacts with Ukrainian businessmen and planned future meetings to discuss their potential cooperation in corresponding markets.
