On May 21st, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara Autonomous Republic hosted “Batumi – Odessa Business Forum” at the Radisson Blu Hotel Batumi. Both the chairman of the government of Ajara Autonomous Republic - Mr. Archil Khabadze and the Mayor of Batumi - Mr. Giorgi Ermakov addressed the forum audience and highlighted the importance of business relations between two cities. In the framework of the forum, delegates representing various Ukrainian companies from Odessa were introduced with investment climate and opportunities of the Ajara region, its touristic potential and infrastructure development. Presentations about above-mentioned topics were provided by employees of respective government bodies. The second part of the forum was dedicated to the B2B meetings between Georgian and Ukrainian companies, where managers of enterprises from construction, tourism, agriculture, education and health care sectors discussed their potential collaboration and future plans. After the B2B meetings, participants of the forum were taken to 8th International Trade Fair for Tourism and Hospitality Industry to see recent developments in the local tourism sector.
