In the framework of an official visit of his excellence, the President of Latvia Mr. Andris Bērziņš, Georgia-Latvia Business Forum was held in Batumi at Sheraton Hotel. The President of Latvia and his Georgian counterpart Mr. Giorgi Margvelashvili, the Minister of Economics of Latvia Ms. Dana Reizniece-Ozola, Chairman of Ajara Government Mr. Archil Khabadze and Chairman of Georgian National Investment Agency Mr. Giorgi Pertaia Addressed the audience and emphasized an importance of further collaboration between two countries. Attendees of the forum, mainly local and Latvian businessmen were introduced with investment climate and opportunities of respective countries. The presentation about investment potential and business procedures in Ajara region was led by the representative of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara A.R. After the presentations, Batumi-based Georgian and Latvian companies shared their contacts and experience on their successful business occupation through B2B meetings organized by the Ministry particularly for businessmen. Sectors of transport and logistics, finance and banking, manufacturing and food production, environment protection, construction, information technologies, tourism and education were represented at the meeting by around 150 Latvian and Georgian businessmen.
