International Investment Forum – Batumi 2015

On September, 18th, International Investment Forum - Batumi 2015 was held at Hilton Batumi, to display current investment projects and to promote business opportunities in Georgia and in the Ajara region. The forum was organized by the Government of Ajara A.R. , Georgian National Agency and consulting company "Cushman & Wakefield | Veritas Brown".
The event was attended by 250 delegates from 15 countries, representing sectors of energy, tourism, real estate, construction, agriculture and food industry, including executives of large companies which already operate in Georgia/Ajara region.
Chairman of Ajara A. R. Archil Khabadze opened the Forum with welcome remarks. Guests were also greeted by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia - Dmitry Kumsishvili, the Head of Georgian National Investment Agency - Giorgi Pertaia, and the Minister of Finance and Economy of Ajara A. R. - Davit Baladze.
Forum participants received information about priority sectors of the regional economy and its investment/business environment in the form of special presentations delivered by the Head of Georgian Investment Agency and the representative of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara A.R.
In the framework of the forum, the discussion session on "Doing Business in Georgia - Access to Finance" was presented by EBRD, Georgian Co-Investment Fund, Partnership Fund and Enterprise Development Agency.
The final part of the event was allotted to commercial companies and financial/consulting institutions for presenting their activities as successful examples of doing business in Georgia and sharing their experience and future plans about investing in Georgia.
