• Wroclaw - Batumi Business Forum


    On February 26th, Wroclaw – European Capital of Culture 2016 hosted business forum "Wroclaw-Batumi" organized by the Government of Ajara Autonomous Republic and Marshal Office of Lower Silesia Voivodship. The main aim of the forum was an introduction of business regulations and investment potential of respective regions to Polish investors and business communities. The Chairman of Ajara Government Mr. Archil Khabadze addressed public with his speech:

    "Ajara government works actively to attract foreign investments as we understand how important it is for our region. We are holding daily meetings with potential investors in Georgia and abroad. We have already organized 9 different forums dedicating to promotion of our region’s business opportunities. We had very productive meetings here in Wroclaw and I am pleased that so many people are interested in Ajara region. We discussed our potential collaboration in future and Polish investors will soon visit Ajara to explore investment environment on-site. “

    Memorandum of collaboration was signed by the Marshal of Lower Silesia Voivodship and Chairman of Ajara A.R Government.

    With special presentation, the representative of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara A.R. familiarized polish investors with investment projects and business environment. Within Framework B2B meetings were held between Ajara based Georgian and Polish companies which shared their experience in business and exchanged contacts for future partnership. They represented mainly from construction, tourism and logistics sectors.

    The Minister of Finance and Economy of Ajara A.R. David Baladze also addressed the audience with welcome remarks:

    “Foreign and local investors feel secure while investing their capital. We have created balanced, healthy and competitive environment. We are doing our best to support investors, so that they can efficiently manage their businesses”. The participants of the forum were also introduced to English-language investment video about Ajara region. Forum delegates also visited Wroclaw Tourism Exhibition where the special stand was dedicated to the touristic potential of Ajara. Delegation left Poland on 29th of February.
